Bad news first: while it is a Google initiative the Summer of Code is not an internship with Google. I was surprised to find out how little recruiting Google does amongst these students.

The good news: Google is reaching out to students like you in many ways. It holds regular recruiting events in many universities throughout the world. Check with your local Google office. And it has a page with &lt;a href=&quot;http://www.google.com/support/jobs/bin/static.py?page=students.html&amp;sid=intern&quot; rel=&quot;nofollow&quot;&gt;information&lt;/a&gt; and job offers.</description>
