Michael Ploujnikov bailed out of this year’s Google Summer of Code. He has accepted a job offer.
This is sad news for the project, but if it is good news for him, it is good news for me too and I wish him well.
His project was one that I particularly cared about, because it would have brought QTVR playback capabilities to VideoLAN a leading multi-platform media player; and because it was a co-operation between two different mentoring organizations within the Google Summer of Code.
We’ll find another opportunity to get this project done in the future.
