Flash Me Not

Recommended reading for every Adobe Flash user (i.e. 97% of the web browsing population).  The second part of the presentation is very technical but there is no excuse not to understand the first ten slides, particularly slide ten and slide eight.  Another good reason not to browse the web without NoScript.

One Response

  1. Still for me NoScript is a no-Go. If a programmer has circumvented another plugin once, who could one ever trust him again? So to suggest noScript because of secuit considerations sounds (still) rather ridiciulous to me. if the project would have a new name an leadership…. maybe….

OTOH I think its not a good idea that browser depend highly on external plugins and dont have that features internally. They move the responsibility of failures to third parties, which means much smaller teams. So if NoScript fails nobody can blame Firefox. But wouldnt it be better if the huge Mozilla team would work on sane solutions instead us having to depend on one single developer? Isnt this a plan that MUST fail?
